Two torrents drain the territory: the Torrent of Vespella and the Torrent of La Nou. Both flow into the Gaiā in the township of La Riera. The village, at 94 metres above sea level, is located on the southern slope of a hill. |

Our population live mostly on agriculture and poultry farming. About a 65% of the territory is not cultivated due to the rugged orography. The most important crops are cereal, hazelnut, olive, almond and carobs. Some poultry and porcine farms complement the town's economy. The farming co-operative was founded in 1963. Nowadays the co-operative only trades with wine, although it is also sold an exclusive selection of olive oils for associate members. There is a clothing factory that provides work for many female workers in town. Other people work in Tarragona and Torredembarra and drive back and forth each day. |
